Dr. Pamela Preston DVM
Dr. Pamela Preston has always had a love for animals, so pursuing a career in veterinary medicine was the natural choice. She earned her DVM from the University of Illinois and has been working as a veterinarian since 1996. In 2000, she became the owner and leading veterinarian at Lindenhurst Animal Hospital.
Over the years, Dr. Preston has had several memorable experiences while working with animals, but the one that stands out the most was when she was in veterinary school, when she spent time at a zoo hospital. She vaccinated a rhinoceros and did a nail trim on a jaguar. Now, as a veterinarian, she loves how her staff can address an emergency with care as they treat patients, while offering comfort to the family. She also looks forward to medicine cases, evaluating diagnostic results, formulating a treatment plan, and providing treatment to her patients.
Dr. Preston has had 4 German shepherds and is currently living with a German shepherd named Achor, but there’s a special place in her heart for her childhood cat, Scamper, which she had for almost 20 years. In her spare time, she spends time with her family and friends, being a wonderful aunt to her nieces and nephews, and enjoys scrapbooking. She also regularly attends St. Mark Lutheran Church in Lindenhurst, where she is active with the choir, bible study, finance ministry team and any where else she can be helpful.
